About me
Dr. Anne Hobbs is a licensed attorney, published research faculty, as well as the Director of the Juvenile Justice Institute at the University of Nebraska at Omaha. She has served on a variety of Advisory Groups and Commissions during her tenure. For three decades, Dr. Hobbs has been working with nonprofit agencies serving youth. In this time, she has served in a variety of capacities including directing a residential treatment center, as the director of Juvenile Diversion for Lancaster County, and as Nebraska’s DMC Coordinator. She is passionate about helping communities work together and improve outcomes for youth. Understanding data and translating research into practice is a critical part of this process. However, listening to youth and family experiences and stories are equally important when we examine outcomes. Dr. Hobbs is passionate about bringing together both qualitative and quantitative elements to better translate research to practice.
