Tammy Sassaman is a Licensed Mental Health Practitioner (LMHP) and a Certified Master Social Worker (CMSW) with over 20 years of experience as a clinical supervisor and therapist. Tammy supervised Behavioral Health Therapists specializing in work with youth and families in schools and in a medical center. Currently, Tammy is the Executive Director at the Nebraska Juvenile Justice Association. Her role is providing leadership, education and collaboration to professionals providing services to youth in the juvenile justice system across the state of Nebraska. She is engaged in many community meetings and partnerships. In addition, Tammy works as a Behavioral Health Specialist Supervisor at Saunders Medical Center, providing mental health therapy to clients of all ages. As a therapist, Tammy offers evidence-based practices to youth and adults specializing in the areas of trauma, anxiety, depression, anger, and divorce. She is certified in Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. Her past experiences include private practice therapy, working in a residential treatment center, providing family support services, and providing wraparound services to adolescents on probation. Tammy loves spending time with her husband and 3 boys. She also enjoys time with friends, walking, baking, camping, and playing cards.
